Dnes tradiční „must see“ lokality. Skálholt, Geysir, Gullfoss, þingvellir. Všechny jsou oceňovány zaslouženě. Dobrá, Skálholt stojí trochu stranou, není atraktivní vzhledem, ale obsahem. Je to nejstarší biskupství na ostrově, od roku 1056, společně s biskupstvím v Hólaru. Dnes už sídlí biskupové v Reykjavíku.
